What is your opinion? How do modern technologies influence one’s life? Write 200—250 words. Use the following plan:
1 Make an introduction (state the problem).
2 Express your personal opinion and give 2—3 reasons for your opinion.
3 Express an opposing opinion and give 1—2 reasons for this opposing opinion.
4 Explain why you don’t agree with the opposing opinion.
5 Make a conclusion restating your position.

Nowadays modern technologies play a huge role in our lives. Some people believe that we are completely dependent on them and would not survive without them. I partly agree with this statement, but I do not think that technology controls our lives completely.
On the one hand, modern technologies make our life much easier and more comfortable. We can communicate with people all over the world, find any information in a few seconds and save a lot of time. In addition, technologies help us in education, medicine and work. For example, online lessons, medical equipment and computers are now necessary in many spheres.
On the other hand, some people think that technologies make us too dependent and lazy. They say that without smartphones, the Internet and computers many people would feel helpless. They also believe that modern devices reduce real communication between people.
I do not fully agree with this opinion because technologies are only tools. People can live without them, but their life would be much harder and slower. Moreover, we can use technologies wisely and avoid becoming too dependent on them.
To sum up, modern technologies influence our life greatly and make it more convenient, but they do not completely replace human abilities. We should use them carefully and remember that they are meant to help us, not to rule our lives.
