Who lives in Russia?

I interviewed a family who moved to Russia from Kazakhstan five years ago. They said they came to Russia because they wanted better job opportunities and education for their children.

At first, life in the new place was not easy. They had to get used to a different climate, new customs, and a new school system. However, after some time they made new friends and began to feel at home.

They still keep in touch with their relatives in Kazakhstan by phone and on the Internet. They visit their hometown once a year.

In my opinion, many migrants have similar stories: they move for work or study, face difficulties at first, and then adapt to a new life.
