1. Yes, I think there are great differences between Eastern and Western ways of life and ways of thinking. In Western countries people often value individual freedom, personal success and independence. In Eastern cultures people usually pay more attention to family, tradition and respect for elders.

2. In Russia, I think, both ways of thinking can be found, but the collective way of thinking is still quite strong. Many people value family ties, mutual help and respect for traditions.

3. The way of thinking that is closer to me is the Western one, because I like independence, personal choice and the opportunity to make my own decisions. At the same time, I also respect family traditions and close relationships with people.
