Example: I’ll take an umbrella to be on the safe side.

2. to be in two minds about something — to be unable to decide what to do.

3. to be on the same wavelength — to understand each other well.

Example: My best friend and I are on the same wavelength.

4. to be on the lookout for something — to watch carefully for something.

Example: We were on the lookout for a good place to eat.

5. to be on the verge of doing something — to be very close to doing something.
