Work in groups. Choose 5-6 people from the list. Then rank them according to the importance of their contribution to society. Explain your opinion.

Here is one possible ranking of the people according to the importance of their contribution to society:

1. Doctors
2. Teachers
3. Scientists
4. Farmers
5. Police officers
6. Artists

In my opinion, doctors are the most important because they save people’s lives and help them stay healthy. Teachers are also very important, because they educate children and prepare them for the future. Scientists make our life better by inventing new technologies and medicines. Farmers provide people with food, so their work is essential too. Police officers protect society and keep order. Artists are important because they enrich our lives with culture and inspiration.
