Work in groups. Give examples of borrowings in your language. Do you know where these words come from? How often do you use them? How do you feel about them?

Examples of borrowings in my language: computer, internet, taxi, шоколад, футбол.

These words come from different languages: computer and internet are from English, taxi is from French, and some words like шоколад and футбол came from European languages.

I use such words very often in everyday speech, especially modern borrowings. I think borrowings are useful because they make communication easier, but it is important not to use too many of them when native words already exist.
