Nowadays people often discuss whether men and women should have different roles in society. Some people believe that these roles start when we are born and that there will always be male and female jobs. Others think that men and women should be equal in all spheres of life.
On the one hand, supporters of traditional roles say that men and women are often good at doing different things. For example, some people think that men are more suitable for hard and prestigious jobs because they are usually seen as more aggressive, dominant and rational. Women, in their opinion, are more emotional, passive and better at taking care of children and home. Such views have continued from the past, and many people still have these stereotypes in mind.
On the other hand, this opinion is unfair. Men and women can be equally successful in any profession if they have the necessary skills and experience. A woman can do a prestigious job as well as a man, and a man can be a good teacher, nurse or cook. People should be judged by their abilities, not by their gender. In modern society, it is important to understand better that equality gives everyone more freedom and opportunities.
In conclusion, I believe that there should not be male and female jobs. Men and women are different, but they can be equal in rights and choices. Everyone should be free to choose any profession they like.
