- Produce a two-minute talk about the nature in your city or village. Comment on:
- the kinds of local landscape;
- the flora and fauna;
- the places of interest for a visitor;
- the ecological problems;
- your favorite season of the year there.
My city is quite beautiful and green. There are parks, small rivers, flower beds and tree-lined streets. The local landscape is mostly flat, but there are also some hills and a forest not far from the city.
The flora is rich: in spring and summer you can see many trees, bushes, wild flowers and birds. As for fauna, there are squirrels, hedgehogs, different kinds of birds and sometimes foxes near the forest.
For visitors, the most interesting places are the central park, the river embankment, the old town square and the local museum. People also like to walk in the botanical garden and take photos near the monuments.
However, there are some ecological problems too. The air is polluted by cars, and some people leave litter in parks and near the river. That is why it is important to protect nature and keep the city clean.
My favourite season here is spring. Everything becomes fresh and bright, the trees turn green, flowers bloom, and the weather is warm but not too hot. It is the best time to enjoy nature in my city.
