In my region, people enjoy different pastimes, and some of them are very popular. One of the most common activities is spending time outdoors. In summer, many people go to parks, have picnics, ride bicycles, or play football and volleyball. In winter, skating and skiing are also popular, especially among teenagers and families.
Another popular pastime is meeting friends. Young people often go to cafés, shopping centres, cinemas, or just walk around the city. Many adults prefer watching TV, reading books, or gardening in their free time.
Some pastimes are not as popular nowadays. For example, fewer people spend time on traditional hobbies like sewing, collecting stamps, or writing letters. Also, not everyone is interested in board games, although they can be very enjoyable.
As for me, my favourite pastimes are reading and listening to music. I prefer reading because it helps me relax and learn new things. I also like listening to music because it improves my mood and gives me energy. Sometimes I combine these activities with a walk, which makes my free time even better.
