Упр.6 Unit 4 Progress Check ГДЗ Enjoy English 11 класс
You have received a letter from your English-speaking friend Peter who writes:
…At school we are making presentations on festivals in different countries. Could you tell me what festivals are most popular in Russia? Which of them are especially popular in your region and where can I get more information about them? As for my school news, we are planning our school-leaving ceremony…
Write a letter to Peter. You have 20 minutes to do the task.
In your letter:
- Tell him about a popular festival in Russia and in your region.
- Recommend to Peter where he can get more information about these festivals.
- Ask him three questions about his school-leaving ceremony.
Write 100–140 words. Remember the rules of letter writing.
Dear Peter,
Thanks for your letter. In Russia, one of the most popular festivals is Maslenitsa. People celebrate it at the end of winter with pancakes, games and folk songs. In my region, Victory Day is especially popular. On this day, people honour veterans and take part in parades and concerts.
If you want to learn more about these festivals, you can look for information on the Internet, in school books or ask your teacher of history.
When is your school-leaving ceremony going to take place? Who is going to organise it? Are you going to have a party after the ceremony?
Write back soon.
Best wishes,
Alex
