“Not to know certain things is a great part of wisdom.” H. Grotius, Dutch jurist
1. I didn’t know that I could learn so much from a short discussion.
2. It was interesting to learn that people can have very different opinions about the same fact.
3. I was surprised to know that some things I thought were true were actually wrong.
4. The conclusion I can make is that we should always be ready to learn new things and change our opinion if necessary.
Interpretation of the quotation
The quotation means that a wise person does not try to know everything. Sometimes it is better to admit that you do not know something, because this helps you stay open-minded and learn more. Real wisdom is not pretending to know everything, but understanding the limits of your knowledge.
