- Write an essay “If I could choose, I would live in a big modern city / in the country”. Write up to 200 words.
If I could choose, I would live in a big modern city. I think city life is more exciting and comfortable for young people. There are many opportunities for education, work and entertainment. In a big city, you can visit museums, theatres, cinemas and different exhibitions. Public transport is usually well developed, so it is easy to get to any place.
Of course, city life has some disadvantages. There is a lot of noise, traffic and air pollution. People are often in a hurry and do not have enough time to relax. However, I believe that the advantages are more important for me.
In the country, life is quieter and healthier. There is fresh air, beautiful nature and less stress. But I prefer the active lifestyle of a modern city, because it gives more chances to learn new things and meet interesting people.
