- What would you think of someone who dyes their hair blue just to look cool?
- Do you always agree with what your teacher / parents tell you to do? Why? / Why not? Give an example.
- Can you remember a story from the news which you’ve heard recently? What was it about? Why do you remember it? What did you feel about it?
1. Yes, I do. I have the right to study, to express my opinion and to be protected.
2. I would like to have more freedom to choose my own hobbies and spend my free time as I want.
3. If I saw one of my classmates cheating, I would tell him or her to stop and, if necessary, inform the teacher.
4. I don’t think it is always a good idea, because it may encourage people to ask for money instead of getting help from social services. But if a person is in real need, I would help in another way, for example by buying food.
5. I feel that this is unfair. People should be judged by their character, not by their appearance or ethnic origin. I would try to be friendly and support the person who is being rejected.
6. I would think that this person just wants to attract attention. If it suits him or her, it is their choice, but I would not do it myself.
7. No, I don’t always agree, because sometimes I have my own opinion. For example, my parents may ask me to do something in a different way, but I think my way is better.
8. Yes, I remember a news story about a natural disaster. It was about people who lost their homes after a flood. I remember it because it was very sad and made me think about helping others. I felt sorry for the people and wanted to support them.
