• What way of thinking dominates in Russia? What are your reasons?
• What way of thinking is closer to how you think? Why do you think this is so?

Sample answer:

1. Yes, I think there are great differences between Eastern and Western ways of life and thinking. In the West, people usually value individuality, independence and personal success. In the East, people often pay more attention to family, tradition and harmony in society. For example, Western people may speak openly about their opinions, while Eastern people can be more reserved.
2. I think the Russian way of thinking is a mix of Eastern and Western traditions, but in many cases it is closer to the Eastern one. Russians often value family, friendship, mutual help and respect for traditions. At the same time, modern Russia is influenced by Western ideas such as freedom and personal choice.
3. The way of thinking that is closer to me is the Western one, because I like independence, open communication and the idea that everyone can choose their own path in life. However, I also think that respect for family and traditions is very important.
