Imagine that you took some photos before school exams. Choose one photo to present to your friend. See “How to Deal with Describing a Photo Task” in Learning Strategies for help. Start speaking in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (12—15 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about:
- when you took the photo
- what / who is in the photo
- what is happening
- why you took the photo
- why you decided to show the picture to your friend
I’d like to show you one of the photos I took before my school exams. I took it in the evening, about a week before the exams started. In the photo, there is my desk with a lot of textbooks, notebooks and revision cards on it. You can also see a cup of tea and a lamp, because I was studying late at night.
At that moment I was preparing for my final tests. I was reading, making notes and trying to remember important rules and facts. The photo shows a very busy but productive time in my life.
I took this photo because I wanted to keep a memory of my exam preparation. It also reminds me how hard I worked and how determined I was. I decided to show it to you because I think it is a good example of how students get ready for important exams. Besides, it is quite realistic and many schoolchildren can relate to it.
