Write an opinion essay “It is morally wrong to clone human beings in order to provide spare body parts to cure serious diseases”. Write about 200–250 words.

Cloning human beings in order to provide spare body parts is morally wrong, in my opinion. Although modern science can help people live longer and cure serious illnesses, it should not do so at the cost of human dignity and life.

First of all, every human being has the right to be treated as a person, not as a source of spare parts. If people were cloned only to take their organs, they would be created for suffering and destruction. This is cruel and goes against basic moral values.

Secondly, such experiments could lead to serious abuse. If society accepts cloning for medical purposes, some people may start using it for profit or other selfish reasons. In addition, it is difficult to control where the line should be drawn. Once we allow one unethical practice, more dangerous ones may follow.

On the other hand, supporters of cloning say that it can save lives and help patients with incurable diseases. This argument is understandable, because medicine should reduce suffering. However, there are other ways to do this, such as organ donation, stem cell research and developing artificial organs.

To sum up, I believe that cloning human beings for spare body parts is unacceptable. Science should serve people, but it must respect moral principles and human rights.
