Look at these two photos and compare and contrast them. Follow the plan.
- Give a brief description of the photos (action, location).
- Say what the pictures have in common.
- Say in what way the pictures are different.
- Say which of the lifestyles presented in the pictures you’d prefer.
- Explain why.
In the first photo, I can see a person working in an office. He is sitting at a desk and using a computer. In the second photo, there is a person outdoors, probably in the countryside or in a park. He is riding a bicycle.
Both pictures show people who are active and busy. In both of them, the people seem to be healthy and energetic. Also, both lifestyles can be considered modern, but they are very different.
The main difference is the place and the kind of activity. In the first picture, the person has a sedentary lifestyle and works indoors. In the second picture, the person leads a more active and mobile lifestyle and spends time outside.
I would prefer the lifestyle shown in the second picture.
I think it is healthier because it includes more physical activity and fresh air. It also seems more relaxing and enjoyable than sitting at a desk all day.
