Say what you would do if you were stranded abroad with little money and little hope of getting out quickly.

1. Would you go to a hotel?
2. Would you try to find an alternative means of transport?
3. Would you borrow money from friends?
4. Would you call home and expect help from your parents and relatives?
5. Would you go on sightseeing and enjoy your extended holiday?

If I were stranded abroad with little money and little hope of getting out quickly, I would try to stay calm and think practically.

1. I would not go to a hotel, because it would be too expensive.
2. I would try to find an alternative means of transport, such as a cheaper bus or train.
3. I would borrow money from friends if I had no other choice.
4. I would call home and ask my parents or relatives for help.
5. I would not go sightseeing and enjoy my “holiday”, because the situation would be too serious.

In short: I would look for the cheapest way to get home and ask for help if necessary.
