Time expressions in the letter:

• for the last few days — used with the Present Perfect Continuous, because the action started in the past and is still continuing now.
• since Monday — used with the Present Perfect Continuous, because it shows the starting point of the action.
• recently — used with the Present Perfect / Present Perfect Continuous, because it refers to a period close to the present.
• already — used with the Present Perfect, because it shows that something happened before now.
