Dear television executives,

We are writing to you on behalf of teenagers in Russia to ask you to reduce TV violence. Many programmes and films show too much aggression, and this can have a bad influence on young people.

Teenagers spend a lot of time watching television, so TV has a strong effect on their views and behaviour. When violence is shown as something normal or exciting, some viewers may think that it is acceptable in real life. We believe that television should not encourage cruelty or aggression.

Please think about the future of young people and choose more positive and useful programmes. Television can entertain people without showing so much violence.

We hope you will listen to our appeal and take action.
