Some youth groups appeared at about the same time. Some groups emerged from the others. What are the relations between different groups and organisations?

Project “Evolution of Youth Groups in Russia”
- Combine all your knowledge about youth groups and organisations in Russia.
- Try to show the relations between them. (Why and how did they emerge?) Draw a scheme. Find illustrations to make your scheme clearer.
- Explain your scheme to the classmates.
Project “A Youth Group/Organisation I’d Like to Create”
- Revise all characteristics of different youth groups and organisations.
- Choose positive characteristics from your point of view. Discuss them in a group.
- Combine all positive characteristics (appearance, music, values and beliefs, activities) to design an ideal youth group. Draw a picture or make a collage.
- Deliver your project to the class.

Project 1: Evolution of Youth Groups in Russia
In Russia, different youth groups and organisations appeared at different times. Some of them developed from earlier movements, while others were created independently. For example, scout groups influenced later volunteer and patriotic organisations. Student clubs, environmental groups and sports organisations also grew because young people wanted to communicate, help others and develop their interests.
The relations between youth groups can be shown as a scheme with arrows: one organisation influenced another, some groups split into smaller ones, and some appeared at the same time but had different aims.
Project 2: A Youth Group/Organisation I’d Like to Create
I would like to create a youth organisation called Bright Future. It would unite active, kind and creative teenagers. The group would have a modern and friendly style, listen to different kinds of music, and value respect, friendship and responsibility.
Its activities would include volunteering, sports, environmental projects, school events and creative workshops. The organisation would help teenagers make friends, develop talents and do useful things for society.
Possible slogan: “Together we can make the future brighter!”
