ROLE-PLAY
Imagine you are in a shop.
Student 1: You want to buy some of the things in the pictures on pages 221 and 225. You don’t know the exact word for these things. Explain to the salesperson what you need.
Student 2: You are a salesperson. Help the customer.
1) The customer has a problem with vocabulary: he does not know the exact English word for the thing he wants to buy.
2) He explains it by describing the object: “I need a thing for opening cans.”
3) Sample role-play:
Customer: Excuse me. I don’t know the exact word. I need something for cutting paper.
Salesperson: A pair of scissors?
Customer: Yes, that’s right. Do you have any?
Salesperson: Yes, we do.
