- Whose lifestyle do you like most?
Some people call me a hacker. I like my computer and I can do many things with its help. I’ve designed a new game for my brother and I’ve made a programme for my teacher of English. Now we can use computers at our English lessons.

I’ve joined the organisation of Young Agrarians. I’d like to be with those people who think about nature, who help young people in the villages to get higher education and to get a good job.
Sveta
I’m not in a group. I don’t care about organisations. I like to wear cool T-shirts and dreadlocks (дреды). I like listening to reggae music. But I don’t like the fact that some people put you into categories according to the way you dress or according to the music you listen to. I also study at art school where I can express myself in my paintings.

What kinds of teenagers can you meet in Russia nowadays?
1) I like Sveta’s lifestyle most. She is independent, creative and expresses herself in her own way.

- I draw, listen to music and write short texts to express myself.
- I study hard, develop my interests and try to find my own style to develop my own lifestyle.
- I help other people, take part in school events and try to make the world better.

In my home place, some popular youth groups are gamers, sports fans and music lovers. Gamers usually spend a lot of time on computers and discuss new games. Sports fans are active and enjoy football, basketball or fitness. Music lovers often follow different styles of music and like to go to concerts.
One youth organisation in my home place is a volunteer group. Its aim is to help old people, clean parks and support children in need.
4) I am not a member of any youth group or organisation because I prefer to spend my free time with my family and friends. I also have my own hobbies and do not want to join a group now.
5) In Russia nowadays, you can meet many kinds of teenagers: sporty, creative, computer-minded, fashionable, quiet, active and independent. Some of them are interested in music, others prefer sports, studying or social work.
