I think we should buy a dishwasher. It is very useful in a student hostel because it saves a lot of time and effort. Instead of washing dishes by hand, we can just put them into the machine and do something more important, like studying or resting.
The invention of the dishwasher has changed people’s lives a lot. It has made housework easier and faster, especially for busy families and students. It also helps keep the kitchen cleaner and more hygienic.

I would choose a vacuum cleaner as a present. It is practical, useful, and helps keep the room clean. Its positive feature is that it saves time and makes cleaning much easier. The negative feature is that it can be noisy and expensive.
A dishwasher is also a good thing because it helps with washing up, but it is usually bigger and more expensive. A talking alarm clock is interesting, but it is not as useful as a vacuum cleaner. A body building machine is good for exercise, but not everyone needs it.
So, I think the vacuum cleaner is the best choice because it is useful for everyone and can be used every day.
