Australian cinematography has a long and interesting history. The first Australian film was made in 1906, and by the 1920s Australia had already become one of the world’s leading film producers. Later, the industry faced difficulties, but it was revived in the 1970s with government support. Today Australian films are known all over the world, and many famous actors and directors come from Australia.
