A: Can you remember how we felt during the party? We were so bored and annoyed.

B: Yes, and another thing — we wanted to take revenge on the guests because they had been rude and had laughed at us.

A: I think it was a fantastic idea to make them listen to Herr Boschen’s singing.

B: It was clever of us. We chose the position behind the professor’s back so that he wouldn’t see us and could sing without being distracted.

A: Don’t you agree that it was very funny? Can you remember the expression on the professor’s and the guests’ faces while he was singing?

B: Yes, they looked shocked and embarrassed. The professor was serious and proud, and the guests tried to hide their surprise.

A: And how did they behave during the singing?

B: They sat still and listened politely, though some of them looked uncomfortable.

A: That’s true, but we escaped early, before anyone could blame us.

B: How very considerate of us! We left quietly and got home safely.
