I remember one small sacrifice I made for the sake of others. It happened last winter, when my younger sister was ill and had to stay at home for a week. I had planned to go to the cinema with my friends that evening, but I decided to cancel the meeting and stay with her instead.

I made this sacrifice because my parents were very busy at work, and my sister needed someone to help her with homework and keep her company. I thought it was more important to support her than to have fun with my friends.

At first, I felt a little disappointed, but later I was glad that I had done the right thing. My sister was very grateful, and my parents said they were proud of me. My friends also understood my decision.

I have never regretted it, because helping my family made me feel useful and responsible.
