The Giant liked his host very much. He had always felt a strong affection to him and occasionally visited him. So when the Giant arrived he saw the children playing in the garden. He became angry. “How did you get access to my garden?” he cried. The children felt scared and miserable and ran away. “My own garden is my own garden,” muttered the Giant. And then, he roared, “I will allow nobody to play in it but myself.” Saying this he didn’t feel any pang of conscience. He was a very selfish Giant, though he would never admit the fact.
