Упр.4 Unit 3 ГДЗ English Михеева 11 класс
Приведем выдержку из задания из учебника Михеева, Афанасьева 11 класс, Просвещение: 4. The fame of the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus spread all over the world in ancient times. It took 120 years to build it. R was completed by the year 550 B. C. A man named Herostratus set the great shrine ablaze in 356 B. C., only because he wanted his name to go down in history. Say what you think of such a way to gain immortality. Consider also such examples as: • the assassination of John F. Kennedy by Lee Harvey Oswald; • the murder of John Lennon by Mark David Chapman. *Цитирирование части задания со ссылкой на учебник производится исключительно в учебных целях для лучшего понимания разбора решения задания.
Such a way to gain immortality is terrible and unacceptable. A person should be remembered for good deeds, talent, kindness, or useful work, not for violence and crime. Herostratus wanted fame, but he became famous for a shameful act. The same is true of assassins and murderers: they do not deserve admiration, because they destroy human lives and cause pain to many people. Real immortality should come from positive achievements that help others and make the world better.
