Music is one of the most important arts. It has been called both the most mathematical and the most abstract of the arts. Music is born of emotion and can become a universal language understood by all people.

The main elements of music are rhythm, melody, tempo and tone colour. The history of music includes several stages: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Musical pluralism.

Musical instruments are divided into several groups: string instruments, woodwind, brass, percussion and keyboard instruments.

People connected with music are composers, songwriters, instrumentalists, performers, conductors, singers, soloists, choristers, virtuosos and members of ensembles or bands.

Music can sound different: it may be catchy, serious, lively, harmonic, touching, progressive, mystical, expressive, avant-garde, dramatic, experimental, daring, original, complex, imaginative, lucid or haunting.
