Выполнение

Statement I. Each country possesses some objects which it regards as its own wonder. But can such wonders belong only to one country? It seems they should be the whole world’s possessions.

Nowadays every country has its own cultural and natural treasures. People are proud of them because they reflect the history, traditions and beauty of their homeland. However, many wonders are so unique and impressive that they should be considered a common heritage of all mankind.

On the one hand, every nation has the right to protect and preserve its own monuments, museums, temples, mountains or other famous places. These objects are part of national identity, and local people often feel a special connection with them. Besides, countries invest money and effort in keeping these wonders safe and attractive.

On the other hand, great wonders do not belong only to one nation in a moral sense. They inspire people all over the world, teach us history and make us admire human creativity and nature’s beauty. For example, the pyramids of Egypt, the Great Wall of China or the Taj Mahal are visited and loved by millions of tourists from different countries. Such places unite people rather than divide them.

In conclusion, although a wonder may be located in one country and protected by it, its value is international. Wonders should be respected as the property of the whole world, because they are important for all humanity.
