A. Victoria Falls

4. Islands divide the Falls into five main parts.
5. The Falls’ African name can be translated into English as “the smoke that thunders”.
6. The Falls are named for Queen Victoria.

B. Lake Baikal

1. Lake Baikal is situated in Siberia, Russia.
2. Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater lake in the world.
3. The lake is 636 km long and at some places up to 80 km wide.
4. Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world.
5. The water in Lake Baikal is very clear and clean.
6. Only the Angara River flows out of Lake Baikal.
