Gulliver is a doctor and a traveller. He goes on a sea voyage, but his ship is wrecked in a storm. He swims to an unknown island and falls asleep on the beach. When he wakes up, he finds himself tied down by tiny people called the Lilliputians. They are very small, but they are also curious and clever. At first they are afraid of him, but later they begin to trust him. Gulliver tries to be friendly and peaceful, and he learns about their strange little world.
