I agree with this statement. A good friendship is based on trust, respect and support, so if you want to have a good friend, you should also be a good friend yourself.

First, a good friend listens, helps and keeps promises. People feel comfortable with someone who is kind and reliable. Second, friendship is a two-way relationship. If you want honesty and care from others, you should give the same in return.

In my opinion, being a good friend means understanding other people, forgiving their mistakes and being there in difficult moments. That is why I agree that to have a good friend, you need to be a good friend.
