Crime doesn’t pay means that crime does not bring real success or happiness in the end. A criminal may get money or other benefits for a short time, but sooner or later he or she will be punished.

I agree with this proverb because crime always causes problems. It hurts other people and usually leads to arrest, punishment, and a ruined life.

One day, when Tom was walking home, a man appeared out of the blue and tried to grab his bag. Tom shouted for help, but the man took a mug from his pocket and tried to attack him. He also began to threaten Tom, telling him not to move. Luckily, a police officer was nearby and managed to identify the man. It turned out that he was a wanted criminal. In the end, the police caught him, and Tom was safe.
