Today, the story takes place in a modern city. Jane is walking through a busy shopping mall, wearing a simple coat and jeans. John is there too, but he treats Jane badly because he is jealous and angry with her. He speaks to her rudely, ignores her feelings and tries to embarrass her in front of other people.

Several other characters take part in the story: Jane’s friend, who tries to support her, and a security guard, who notices John’s behaviour. In the end, Jane stands up for herself and leaves John. Her friend helps her, and John is left alone, realizing that his behaviour was wrong.
