The Lilliputians: selfish, cruel, gullible, pompous, self-important, well-mannered.
They are selfish and cruel because they use Gulliver for their own purposes and are ready to punish him. They are also gullible because they believe he is dangerous, although he is not. At the same time, they are well-mannered in the way they speak and behave formally. Some of them seem pompous and self-important because they think very highly of themselves.
Gulliver: honest, well-intentioned, helpful.
Gulliver is honest because he tells the truth about himself. He is well-intentioned because he does not want to harm anyone. He is also helpful since he tries to cooperate with the Lilliputians and does not act aggressively.
