For this task, you could describe a friend, a family member, a classmate, or a famous person.

You would usually use the present simple to describe someone’s appearance and character, and the past simple if you mention past events or memories.

A good description should have 3 paragraphs:

• Paragraph 1 — introduce the person and say who they are;
• Paragraph 2 — describe their appearance;
• Paragraph 3 — describe their character and explain why you like them.

You can also include your opinion and a short conclusion at the end.
