Letter to Amy
Dear Amy,
Thanks for your letter. I’m glad you like your new street. I get on well with most of my neighbours. They are friendly and always ready to help. There isn’t anyone in my street I really dislike, but some people are a bit noisy sometimes. I think a good neighbour should be polite, helpful and respectful.
It’s great that you’ve been helping your dad in the garden. What kind of plants are you growing? Do you enjoy gardening? How often do you help him?
Write back soon.
Best wishes,
Alex
Talk about your area
My area is called Green Park, and it is in the south of the city. I have lived there for about ten years. It is a quiet and pleasant place with a lot of trees, small parks and clean streets. There are also some shops, a school and a sports centre nearby.
I like my area because it is safe and peaceful. I can walk to most places, and the people are friendly. However, I don’t like the traffic on the main road, especially in the morning, because it can be very noisy.
