You have received a letter from your English-speaking pen-friend, Amy, who writes:
Everyone in my new street is so nice! Do you get on with your neighbours? Is there anyone in your street you don’t like? What do you think makes a good neighbour? I’ve been helping my dad out in the garden lately!
Write a letter to Amy. In your letter:
- answer her questions;
- ask 3 questions about gardening.
Write 100–140 words.
Give a two-minute talk about your area.
Remember to:
- say what your area is called and where it is;
- say how long you have lived there;
- describe your area;
- say which things you like/don’t like about your area and why.
Dear Amy,
Thanks for your letter. I’m glad to hear that your new neighbours are so friendly. I get on well with most of my neighbours, and we often say hello when we meet. There isn’t really anyone in my street I don’t like, but some people are a bit noisy sometimes. I think a good neighbour should be polite, helpful and respectful.
It’s great that you’ve been helping your dad in the garden. What kind of plants are you growing? Do you enjoy gardening? How often do you help him?
