2. In English, adjectives do not change in number, gender or case.

3. The three degrees of comparison are the positive degree, the comparative degree and the superlative degree. The comparative is used to compare two things, and the superlative is used to compare three or more things.

4. The comparative degree is usually formed with -er or with more before the adjective.

5. The superlative degree is usually formed with -est or with the most before the adjective.

6. Some adjectives form degrees of comparison irregularly: good — better — the best, bad — worse — the worst, many/much — more — the most, little — less — the least.
