Steven: Er… eight o’clock. Oh, yes. I was in my kitchen at home.
Det Casey: Thank you.
Det Casey: Just one question, Alison. Where were you at a quarter past nine?
Alison: I was at Pizza Fun. It’s my favourite restaurant.
Det Casey: Excuse me.
Simon: Yes.
Det Casey: What’s your name?
Simon: Simon Clark.
Det Casey: I am detective Casey. And I want to ask you a question: Were you at the office at nine o’clock yesterday morning?
Simon: Yesterday? At nine o’clock? Yes, I was in my office at nine o’clock.
Det Casey: Er… is your name Sarah Grey?
Sarah: Yes.
Det Casey: Can I ask you a question? Were you at school at half past eight?
Sarah: No, I wasn’t. I was at the station.
Det Casey: Carlo, can you remember? Where were you at half past nine yesterday morning?
Carlo: At half past nine? Erm… Oh, yes. I was in the park.
Det Casey: Thank you.
Det Casey: Where were you at half past nine yesterday, Jane?
