The Fox and the Crow

A crow found a piece of cheese and flew up into a tree. A fox saw the cheese and wanted to get it. He came up to the tree and said, “What a beautiful bird you are! Your feathers are so nice. I’m sure your voice is beautiful too. Please, sing for me!”

The crow was pleased to hear such kind words. She opened her beak to sing, and the cheese fell down. The fox quickly picked it up and ran away.

The crow understood that she had been tricked.
