People usually keep cats, dogs, fish, hamsters and birds at home. Pets can be small or big. For example, fish and hamsters are small, but dogs can be quite big. Pets eat different food: cats and dogs eat special pet food, fish eat fish food, and birds eat seeds. Keeping pets can be difficult because they need care, food, water and attention. Sometimes pets make a mess or need a lot of time.
