b) Andrei’s in London with his family. He wants to visit the National Art Gallery. He has decided to call to ask for some information. The sentences above are from a dialogue between Andrei and an assistant at the Information Desk. Who says each sentence in Ex. 1a? Listen and read to find out.
A: Thank you for calling the National Art Gallery. How can I help you?
B: Hello. I’m thinking of visiting the gallery next week and I’d like some information, please.
A: Certainly.
B: Can you tell me what your opening times are?
A: Of course; we’re open from 9-5 Tuesdays to Saturdays.
B: OK, and how much is the admission?
A: Tickets are 6.50 for adults and 3.50 for children and senior citizens. There’s a special discount or groups of five or more.
B: Right. And I’d also like to know if there’s a cafe.
A: Yes, we have a tea room here that serves hot drinks and sandwiches and it’s open all day.
B: That’s great! Thank you very much.
A: You’re welcome. I hope you enjoy your visit.
B: Thanks again. Bye.
