Subject: My new houseDear Olga,
How are you? I’m so excited about my new house and I can’t wait for you to come and see it. It’s in a quiet street opposite the park and it’s near my new school. It’s very big with a huge garden and a garage. It’s got a large living room, a modern kitchen and two bedrooms. My favourite room is my bedroom. It’s got a large bed, a desk with my computer on it and a huge wardrobe. I’ve got posters of my favourite bands on the walls. Next Sunday is my birthday party. Do come.
Write soon,
NellyWhich of the following are there in Nelly’s email?

Writing tip
Punctuation
We use a full stop (.) at the end of affirmative and negative sentences. We use question marks (?) at the end of questions. We use a comma (,) to separate a list of items. We use an exclamation mark (!) at the end of sentences that express strong feelings.
Complete the sentences with the correct punctuation. Use: (.), (?), (,), (!).
- Where is the baker’s
- It’s fantastic
- There are two banks on Princess Street
- The flat has got a living room a kit
- Is there a sports centre in the area
Read the theory. Find examples in the email, then put the words in the correct order.
Adjectives describe nouns. They can go before nouns or after the verb to be.
My flat is big. It’s a very beautiful flat.
Answer the questions. Write sentences.
- Where’s your house?
- What rooms are there?
- What’s your favourite room? What’s in it?
