In my hometown we have holiday fairs, autumn festivals, concerts on holiday days, competitions in running, singing folk songs or chastushkas, performances of the city folk choir and folk dance club, pet shows and flower shows.

For example, last week there was a holiday fair. The people wore folk costumes, performed folk dances, played folk music, told jokes, cooked and ate traditional food and had fun. Some of them competed in running and got prizes.
