WRITING

Write a letter to your pen friend about an unusual celebration or event. Do the task in your exercise book. Don’t forget to write about:

• when it was;
• what you saw;
• what happened.

Dear pen friend,

Last summer I saw an unusual celebration in my town. It was a festival of lights in August. In the evening, the streets were full of people, music and bright decorations. I saw many lanterns, fireworks and a big parade.

People were smiling and dancing. Children carried colourful balloons, and everyone was happy. At the end of the celebration, there was a beautiful firework show in the sky. It was amazing!

I will never forget this event because it was very exciting and unusual.

Best wishes,
Mike
