Here is a poster idea about a real-life treasure.
The Treasure of the Amber Room
The Amber Room was a famous treasure in Russia. It was a beautiful room made of amber, gold and mirrors. During World War II, it disappeared from the Catherine Palace near St Petersburg.
Why is it a treasure?
It was very valuable and unique. Many people call it the “Eighth Wonder of the World”.
What happened to it?
The room was taken away during the war, and nobody knows exactly where it is now. People are still looking for it.
What can you draw on your poster?
- a map of Russia and St Petersburg;
- a picture of the Catherine Palace;
- a plan of the Amber Room;
- golden and amber decorations.
Interesting fact: A new Amber Room was rebuilt in the Catherine Palace in 2003.
