Mrs Smith liked walking. She thought walking was very good for her health. One day she put on her fur coat and went to the park. Suddenly it began raining. The rain was hard and Mrs Smith’s fur coat became wet.
That evening she said to her husband, “I want a good coat for my walks. I’m going to go to the shop tomorrow and buy a new coat.”
The next morning she went into a shop and looked at some coats. A young shop assistant was helping her. Mrs Smith liked a fox coat very much.
“This fox coat is very nice,” she said to the shop assistant, “but will I be wet if I wear this coat in the rain?”
The shop assistant answered, “Foxes often stay in the rain, but they never wear raincoats, do they?”
